A standlone, RESTful compliance service

We've built a quick webservice around compliance checks.

You can access it in a restful manner via the stand alone compliance webservice; or via our Valfirm SOAP endpoint.

workflow

Our preference is for a REST (http) approach. Many of the valuation systems we know of are web based; or are built on a platform with strong http tools.

To use it, simply:
1. Get a library which supports HTTP Basic Auth
2. Use HTTP POST, and put in the request body as a LIXI packet

Here's an example client in PHP.

<?php
require_once 'HTTP/Request2.php';

// Your LIXI packet
$xml = file_get_contents('http://developers.valex.com.au/files/response_api_short_completed.xml');

$request = new HTTP_Request2('https://vx.valex.com.au/rest/lixi/compliance-webservice/?action=check_packet');

// Your soap credentials
$request->setAuth('user','pass');
$request->setMethod(HTTP_Request2::METHOD_POST);

$request->setHeader('Content-type: text/xml; charset=utf-8')
    ->setBody($xml);

$response = $request->send();

var_dump($response->getBody());

See sample response XML.
